Dr. Megan Buchanan

DVM

Meet Dr. Megan Buchanan – our passionate, integrative-care veterinarian who brings warmth, expertise, and a whole-patient approach to every exam room.

Originally from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Dr. Buchanan earned her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She spent nearly a decade caring for pets in North Carolina before heading west to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she continued her veterinary journey. In 2023, Dr. Buchanan and her family returned to their East Coast roots to be closer to extended family and to continue doing what she loves—helping pets live their best lives.

With certifications in canine rehabilitation and veterinary acupuncture, and as a Fear Free Professional, Dr. Buchanan blends traditional medicine with complementary therapies. Her integrative approach allows her to tailor treatment plans that support each pet’s physical and emotional well-being.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll find her adventuring with her husband, their young child, and their animal crew: a spirited dog and three curious cats. She’s an avid hiker, camper, traveler, and a home chef who loves exploring new cuisines.

We’re thrilled to have Dr. Buchanan on our team—bringing not only her impressive credentials but also her deep compassion for animals and their people.
