Veterinary Radiology

Radiology is a valuable diagnostic tool used to look inside your pet's body and reveal information that may not be evident from the outside. Radiographs, also known as x-rays, are used to assess almost any of the body's organs, including the lungs, heart, bones and abdominal organs.

Radiography is often used to evaluate the size of organs, which can change due to heart, kidney or liver disease. Some medical conditions, like cancer and intestinal blockage, can alter the position and shape of organs. Tumors, bladder stones, chronic arthritis, broken bones and certain spinal cord diseases may also be detected using radiography.

The technology is appropriate for event very young pets or pregnant females because the level of radiation exposure is very low, and the procedure is non-invasive, safe and painless.

Dental radiology techniques are a vital tool in our practice. We use the technology to perform dental procedures, evaluate outcomes and document your pet's oral health.

In addition to our radiology services, we also offer ultrasound services to ensure that your pet remains in his or her best health. Ultrasound scans can be used to monitor your pet's heart beat, blood flow, gastrointestinal movement, stomach, ovaries, kidneys, bladder, liver, adrenal glands, chest and other organs.
