Emily Fanton

DVM

I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from The Ohio State University Veterinary School in 2005. I was accepted into an internship in North Carolina, receiving advanced training in veterinary medicine, emergency treatments, and surgery. In 2006, I moved to Alexandria to join this veterinary family.

I have grown to love the Northern Virginia area, making it home for me and my family. We recently said goodbye to our sweet greyhound, Milo, but still enjoy the company of our beloved cat, Grady. While I want the variety that general practice brings, my particular interests include geriatric medicine, dermatology, surgery, and dentistry. I strive to give each patient and client the most caring, individualized treatment they deserve. I enjoy yoga, running, and visiting our beautiful local parks with my family in my free time.

Déna Lawrence

DVM MPH

I grew up in a large family with a strong agricultural background. I have many memories of watching my Grand-father care for his own farm animals. I knew then, even as a small child watching him, that I too, wanted to spend my life devoted to caring for animals.

After having pursued my undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry in Florida, I attended St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. It was here that I developed a deeper love for small animal medicine and a special interest in Epidemiology. I completed my veterinary clinical training at the University of Florida. I then went on to complete my Master’s degree in Public Health and Epidemiology.

Over the years, I have come to gain a more global perspective of the importance of the field, through participation in several OIE World Animal Health Conferences all around the world. I now call the picturesque Northern Virginia area home, and spend my free time with my family and fur babies. I enjoy many aspects of General practice, however, my areas of interest are cardiology, dermatology and geriatric medicine.

I am happy to now be a part of the Hollin Hall Family. The strong commitment to practicing quality veterinary medicine and the compassionate nature of the staff made it the perfect fit. We look forward to partnering with you for the overall health of your pet.
